To qualify, you’ll need to be a financial member of Dogs NZ, formerly the New Zealand Kennel Club, NZ Cat Fancy or Cats Inc NZ. The programme is suitable for registered breeders looking for premium breeder pet food in NZ, along with practical nutrition support for puppies, kittens and companion birds.

Most puppies transition to adult dog food between 12 and 18 months, although timing depends on breed size and development. Large breed puppies usually need longer on a puppy diet because their bones and joints develop over a longer period.

Kittens are generally considered adults at around 12 months of age. At that point, they can gradually move from kitten food to an adult cat food designed for maintenance nutrition.
